Michigan School Readiness Program (MSRP)

USA offers a nurturing school-readiness program that focuses on childhood development, socialization and interaction. The program, designed for four year olds, focuses on the discovery of self and others, but does not focus on academics. Two instructors work with up to 16 children to prepare them for the transition into preschool or Kindergarten. MRSP is a state-funded program, and approximately half of the students receive tuition assistance from the state. Others tuition is paid for by parents or Title I funds.

Here are guidelines for participation in MSRP:

• Must be four years of age by December 1
• Must be a resident of the USA School District
• Only 16 students will be registered at one time
• Class is from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday
• Bussing is available
• Tuition assistance may be available based on income
